Who qualifies?
Anyone who has been chosen for a temporary employment position in Australia can apply for a temporary long-stay visa.

The Process:
All three tiers of the process can be completed at the same time.
  • The employer must become an approved sponsor.
  • The employer must file a nomination application of the position to be filled.
  • The visa application for you is filed in South Africa.

How long is this visa valid for?

It can be valid for three months up to four years.

What if I change employers?

If you change employers, your visa immediately becomes invalid. However, if you obtain another employer who is an approved sponsor, you can apply again for a visa subject to the new employment.

Can it be extended?

Again, if you wish to extend your visa, you will need to go through the process again with either the same employer or a new one.
