What is an Independent Executive 457 Visa?

To be defined as an Independent Executive, you must:
  • Develop in Australia a business that will benefit Australia
  • Maintain or obtain an ownership interest in a business in Australia
  • Maintain a direct and continuous involvement in the management of the business
  • Make decisions that affect the overall direction and performance of the business from day to day
  • Have assets of at least AUS$250,000
  • Have a background and experience relevant to the nature of the proposed business
  • Demonstrate there is a need for the you to be a temporary resident to conduct or establish the business
Why the 457 Visa instead of the Established Business 845 Visa?

How long is this visa valid for?
